I am a Dutch flamenco guitar player who likes to compose own music and melodies. Honestly, as you probably can hear, I am not a producer, an no sound engineer, but I try to record my own music in the best way I can do. This has lead to my second flamenco album Tierra de la Esperanza. The main goal of this album was to play all of my 12 compositions with real flamenco instruments. So, these are caja (cajon), palmas (hand clapping) and the flamenco guitar. Additional I used some bassguitar. On this CD no computer sounds have been used. I also managed to create real contratiempo handclapping, which is essential in flamenco music. I also wrote my first Rondeña and a Bossanova. I hope you like what I do and create.

All compositions, melodies and themes are composed
and written by Maarten Pietersma, except these parts in
Tres Mil Deseos: 0:24-1:00, 1:10-1:50, 2:14-2:50 and
these parts in Com-pas-ión: 3:06-3:24, 4:33-4:54, these
parts are general melodies in flamenco music and can
be found often. All tracks are arranged by Maarten Pietersma.
All instruments on this cd (flamenco guitar,
bass guitar, caja and palmas) are played and recorded
by Maarten Pietersma during 2015 and 2016.
